Russian Empire Coins, also termed as Russian rubles, rubles being the official currency of Russia, are subdivided into hundred Kopeks. Since the 14th century, the rules have been in circulation in the Russian Empire until 1992. In 1993, all the Soviet coins were replaced by the banknotes issued in the name of the Bank of Russia.
All the Russian empire coins are minted in Moscow and at the Saint Petersburg Mint. The series of first ruble coins (1992-1998) featured a double-headed eagle without a crown, sceptre, and global cruciger. At the same time, the second ruble coins depicted St George and the Dragon on Kopeks, while the double-headed eagle on all the rubles.
