Although the Russian Coins were popular since the 16th century, those produced in the 19th and 20th centuries are exceptional and irreplaceable. From the rise and fall of Czars, the Bolshevik Revolution in 1917, to the founding (1922) and dissolution (1991) of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, every era and history was reflected coinage of the country.

As Kopeks and rubles were circulated in the country, they were pretty valuable back then and are helpful to date. 19th-century Kopeks had a double-headed eagle engrossed on them, possessing coats of arms on its wings and a crown on his head; these early kopeks minted in copper and silver were popular due to their easy availability.

The design of these Kopeks was modified in the middle of the century, with modifications of the arms and crown of the eagle. The Russian coins, Rubles, featured specific historical figures, including portraits of Czars and historical celebrations and events such as the celebration of the hundredth anniversary of Napoleon's defeat.
