Presidential Dollar Coins

Last Updated: Jul 24, 2023

To honor the services of the nation's Presidents, the Presidential $1-dollar program was introduced by the United States Mint. These Presidential coins featured Presidents of the United States from different times, starting from Washington, Adams, Madison, and Jefferson. The primary purpose of the $1 Coin Act was to renew people's interest and draw their attention to dollar coins, as was done as a result of the 50 States Quarters Program.

These coins are almost the same the size of Sacagawea dollars coins, and the first ones were minted and circulated in honor of George Washington in 2007. The Presidential coins were explicitly produced to create aesthetically pleasing yet dramatic artwork for collections.

This coin reflecting the history and historical events of the country is valuable and fun to collect in the commemoration of exceptional services of the Presidents of the United States. 2007 to 2016, Presidential coins were produced by the Mint with similar reverse designs yet four different obverse designs.
