Peace Dollars
The peace dollar is a US dollar coin that the US government has minted from time to time. It was first minted from 1921 to 1928 and then from 1934 to 1935, the 1922 peace dollar is especially popular coin among collectors. Once as a commemorative in 2021, as well as the mint, was struggling to create a remarkable design for the US dollar coins that represented peace after World war I. Anthony de Francisci designed this peace dollar.
To create this coin a symbol of peace, the obverse of these coins featured the head and neck of the Goddess of Liberty. While the reverse was an eagle with a bald head, holding onto an olive branch with the word "peace" engraved beneath the unit.
Peace dollar was the last US dollar coin minted in silver. With all the controversies and competitions it bore, it is one of the rarest and valuable US dollar coins.
