UK coins circulating in the StateState are denominated as pounds sterling. Since the two-pound coin was introduced in 1994, these coins range from one penny to two pounds. In 1971, decimalization was introduced that divided the pound into hundred new pence. The Royal Mint, located in Llantrisant, Wales, is responsible for producing all the British coins.

All the decimal UK coins are composed of copper-plated steel, nickel-plated steel, nickel-brass, and cupronickel. All currencies are circular except for the twenty and fifty pence pieces that have heptagonal curves. The obverse of all the coins features the monarch Queen Elizabeth II while the reverse featured various national and regional designs and denominations.

British coins are categorized into various types, including Half Penny, Shilling, Half Crown, Maundy, Gold, Crown, Farthing, Decimal coinage, Commemorative, and many more. Some of the rare UK coins include Cardiff Capital one pound, Offside London Olympics 50p coin, and more.
