Russian Paper Money

The currency of Russia is termed as Russian Ruble that is further divided into hundred Kopeks. This currency was used by the Russians as well as the Soviet Union. The first series of Rubles were produced from 1992 till 1998. In 1993, new Russian paper money was made in the name of the Bank of Russia. The second series of Russian rubles were started getting produced in 1998 and are continued.

The Ruble has been represented by various symbols, but it is currently a simple "P" with a horizontal stroke. The Russian paper money is presently produced in the state-owned factory Goznak located in Moscow.
