Korean Coins
Won is one of the oldest currencies of South Korea and was reintroduced a couple of times in history facing particular events. Also, after World War II, Yen was replaced by Won to cope with the circumstances and economic damage.
Although each Won was divided into 100 Jeon, only 1 Jeon coin was produced in 1945 to 1953 issues and circulated. At times after that, the currency was devalued, replaced, and reintroduced. After Won's reintroduction in 1962, won coins were once again minted in 1966. Although these Korean coins are valuable, one of them might benefit you a lot and could prove a significant investment.
The little 500 Won coins produced in 1998 are not just the rarest currency in the country but are also the most expensive one. With only 8000 coins produced in the year, their production was canceled by the Mint, but if you have one of those, congratulations to you on your exceptional Korean coins' collection.
