Canadian Fifty Cents
Canadian fifty cents, also referred to as fifty-cent piece, is the Canadian coin worth fifty cents, but with the non-circulation factor, its value has been doubled. Although the Royal mint of Canada regularly mints this coin, it is not circulated, which has led to the belief among the citizens that it is rare. But the fact is that the new vending machines are incapable of identifying the fifty-cent piece.
As usual, the obverse of the Canadian fifty cents is the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, while the reverse features the coat of arms of Canada. Since 2004, this coin is not circulated by the mint but can be obtained directly from the mint.
The fifty-cent piece is minted at the Ottawa branch of the Royal Mint and is available from there. These coins issued in 1921 and 2000-P are said to be rare and holds more value.
