Brazil Coins
The official currency of Brazil is termed as "Brazilian Real". It is further divided into hundred smaller units named centavos. In 1994, the real replaced the "Cruzeiro Real". The "Plano Real", also referred to as the modern reality, was introduced in 1994 to stabilize the country's economy. This was done under the presidency of Itamar Franco.

In the first series, all the coins were minted in stainless steel in the denominations of 1, 5, 10, and 50 centavos, along with one real.
