Australian Stamps
In 1901, the Commonwealth of Australia set up its postal service system and issued its stamps. Even when the colonial mail systems and current colony stamps were taken over, these Australian stamps still stood valid and became de facto Commonwealth stamps.
It is believed that the proper Australian stamps issuance started in 1913, as the red 1d Kangaroo and map stamp was introduced. Various symbols were issued afterward, featuring different designs. The stamps that were presented included the commemorative stamps as well as definitive stamps.
Some of the rarest Australian stamps that might be worth a lot of money include the 1855 inverted swan stamp, £2 black and rose kangaroo and map stamp, 10-shilling Kangaroo and map essay stamp, Classic Victoria 3d blue stamp, and many more.
